Ten years of memories brings WWE wrestler home

ELDON, MO. -- A former WWE tag team champion has opened up a restaurant and bar in downtown Eldon.

He was born William Theodore Mueller, but wrestling fans know him as Trevor Murdoch. When he’s not tag-teaming in the ring, Trevor's teaming up with his wife Amanda at their new business, T. Murdock’s Bar and Grill in downtown Eldon. Trevor and his wife have a personal connection to this place.

“There are so many memories," Trevor said. "I’ve been coming here for 10 years. I met my wife here. We had our first date here in this place.”

Now, Trevor and Amanda have a date at this bar and grill every day as business partners.

“Sometimes it’s a challenge, but we get through it," Trevor’s wife Amanda Mueller said. "We have a good time. We’ve learned a lot about each other and worked through it.”

Trevor and Amanda get help in the kitchen from another wrestler Darin Waid.  Waid attacks the grill and fryer just like his opponents in the ring.

“We’re a good, close knit family," Waid said. "We all live together in the same household. Ever since I moved down here, Trevor has been like an older brother to me.”

Trevor is proud to say that eight time world wrestling champion Harley Race is like a father to him. Trevor trained at Race’s Wrestling Academy.

You might remember a few years ago when Trevor bodyslammed KRCG’s Mark Slavit during a training session at Race’s school, which is also in Eldon. It wasn’t that long ago when Trevor was tossing Mark around. Now, he’s tossing around drinks at his new bar.

While Trevor stays busy behind the bar, you can find wrestling legend Harley Race enjoying something to eat in the dining area, especially the “Harley” hamburger steak.

“I like being here," Race said. "I like coming in here. And I think everybody knows I love that lake.”

T. Murdock’s has live entertainment, games, wrestling memorabilia and fun for the whole family. Trevor said it’s the perfect place to pin down your friends for a good time.

Although his new business keeps him busy, Trevor says he still plans to continue his professional wrestling career.
