A Callaway County man was taken to the Callaway County Jail Tuesday. He is awaiting extradition to Kansas, where he is accused of felony sexual offense involving a child.

Kansas authorities issued a felony arrest warrant for Craig Long on March 5th, about two months after a search warrant was executed at his home.

On January 3rd, a Kansas City detective and Callaway County deputies searched Long's Seminole Road home near Williamsburg. Officials seized several items at that time.

From then until his arrest, Callaway County deputies and FBI agents watched the home. When Long returned at 2:16 a.m. Tuesday, deputies took him into custody without incident.

According to Callaway County officials, the child is in protective custody.
