It wasn’t a happy Valentine’s Day for one Columbia woman.

Police said 60-year-old Paula McDonald drove her car into a liquor store. She was arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated before being released on a signature summons.

The store manager said the crash happened shortly before noon. The wreck caused moderate damage to the Arena Liquor Store on South Providence Road.

The owner of the building said that a similar accident happened in the same location about five years ago.
