A 15-year-old girl is home safe after an apparent kidnapping by her ex-boyfriend.

Amy Jordan's mother reported her missing Tuesday afternoon when Amy didn't come home from her bus stop.

Police said they think the Montgomery County teenager was taken at gunpoint by 18-year-old Robbie Bethel, who took her home just before noon Wednesday.

Bethel is in the Montgomery County Jail awaiting charges for kidnapping. His car is also being searched by police.

During the search for Bethel, four Montgomery County schools were placed on lockdown. South Callaway schools also locked their front doors for a few hours Wednesday morning because of the incident. Bethel had allegedly told Jordan he would take a gun to a school.
