Question What if there is a book that I am interested in that you do not have? Answer Can't find what you need in our library's collection? We will be glad to borrow items on your behalf from another library. Interlibrary Loan is available to residents of Cole or Osage County or those who purchase a non-resident library card from MRRL. Reciprocal borrowers are encouraged to use their home libraries for Interlibrary Loan services. Please note that the length of check out is set by the LOANING library. Renewal requests must be made IN ADVANCE of the due date, so we may request an extension from the loaning library. Granting of these requests is not guaranteed. An online ILL renewal form is available on this site.
Answer There is always something going on for children at the library! The focus of the Children's Programming team is free events for children up to age 12, as well as special events for families. From crafts, to movies nights, to story hours, there always is something happening at your library. Take a minute to browse our online calendar of upcoming events, or pick up a program guide the next time you visit. You are bound to find an event to enjoy.
Question Can I receive reference help without coming to your physical location?
Answer The Reference Department at the main library provides accurate information in a timely manner on a wide range of subjects. Telephone reference is available at (573) 634-2464, as is email reference (for direct and simple inquiries).
Question Do you have any recommended reading lists or adult reading clubs? Answer We have an extensive recommended reading list link on our site for all different categories of interest and we also have three different groups that meet. Please see our website for details to find the group that is for you!
