Founded in 1949 and based in Freeburg, Missouri, the Quaker family-owned corporation was built on a business philosophy of quality and customer satisfaction that continues today. Marge and Harold “Bud” Knoll dedicated themselves to building a business destined to be a leader in the window and door industry.

While windows typically represent about 10 percent of your house, they are often responsible for about 40 percent to 50 percent of the heat lost or gained!
Question How long has Quaker been in business? Question How many manufacturing facilities does Quaker have? Answer All manufacturing facilities are in Freeburg, Missouri. There are two separate campuses; Our window & door manufacturing plant and our Glass production plant. Question Quaker manufactures windows and doors from what type of material? Answer Quaker makes windows and doors from all 3 of the major materials; aluminum, vinyl, and wood. Answer A measure of a product’s ability to resist the transfer of thermal energy. Answer A measure of rate of non-solar heat flow through a material or assembly. It is the opposite of the R-Value. Remember: Lower is better when comparing U-Values. Question Do any of Quaker’s windows and doors meet Energy Star® requirements? Answer Many of them do. If a Quaker product meets Energy Star® requirements, it will be denoted as you’re viewing the product’s standard features. For more information about the Energy Star® program, go to www.energystar.gov. Question What is the warranty for Quaker windows and doors? Answer The warranted coverage periods vary depending on the product and the type of application they are installed. Question What colors can I get? Answer Available colors depend on the product you choose. For wood clad windows & doors, we have 5 standard and 5 optional exterior colors. For aluminum windows & doors, we have 10 standard colors. For vinyl windows & doors, white is the standard color while 2 other colors are optional. Question My Quaker windows have condensation building up on them. What do I do? Answer It's important to remember that condensation is a natural occurrence, which isn't caused by windows, thus it can't be prevented by windows.
