Independent Living Resource Center, Inc. (ILRC) is a non residential, consumer controlled, not for profit organization that provides services and support for individuals with disabilities; any age, any disability. ILRC is one of 22 Centers for Independent Living in the state of Missouri.
 
ILRC serves the counties of Southern Callaway, Camden, Cole, Miller, Morgan, Moniteau and Osage.

Consumer Directed Services
A program for adults with disabilities, 21 and older, to receive a personal care attendant. Candidates must be Medicaid eligible, able to self direct and pass a 21 point assessment by a Registered Nurse.
 
Equipment Loan Services
This no cost service is for equipment needs such as commodes, toilet risers, walkers, wheel chairs, etc. In order to receive this service, the person must be a consumer of ILRC.  ILRC is also a Low Vision Resource Center through Rehabilitation Services for the Blind for magnifiers, tape recorders, CCTVs and more. 
 
Peer Support Services
ILRC provides three types of Peer Support: Individually, in a person to person setting. (in your home or at our office). Social Support Groups. ILRC currently has a Fibromyalgia group that meets monthly. If there is a support group that you would like information on or to start one, contact our office. Social/Recreational Groups. ILRC holds a social event once a quarter, which also has an educational part. ILRC has previously held Emergency Preparedness and Disability Employment Month socials, which included a speaker and a bingo game.
 
Home Modifications / Ramp Services
Home Modifications refers to grab bars or other mall home modifications in order for the person to be able to stay in their home. In order to be eligible for the Ramp Program, the person must have no other entry or exit from the home and agree to return the ramp to ILRC when it is no longer needed. ( ILRC is able to repair old ramps or build new ones.) Please note, there is a waiting list for both programs and an application process which must be completed.
