How to determine which gown will fit you AND flatter you the most!
Question
How far in advance should I order my wedding gown?
Answer
You should order your dress 8 to 12 months prior to your wedding. Delivery can take up to 16 weeks. HOWEVER, many designers offer rush shipping for an additional fee. Another option is to purchase a gown off the floor.
Question
Is it important to have my measurements professionally taken at a bridal shop?
Answer
Bridal professionals are trained to take accurate measurements and have the ability to analyze those measurements to suggest the most appropriate size. It is ideal to have your measurements taken at the store where you will be purchasing your gown, but any bridal boutique is fine.
Question
When should I start thinking about tuxedos?
Answer
Tuxedos take significantly less time to order than bridal gowns. Choose your tuxedos approximately four months prior to your wedding to give your men ample time to have their measurements taken. Again, it is important that their measurements be taken by a bridal professional to ensure accuracy of fit.
Question
Why is there only one size available in each gown style?
Answer
Bridal Shops keep sample gowns in stock, these are gowns in average sizes to give you an idea of what is available. In most cases, a new gown will need to be ordered in the correct size and color. Bridal Shops are also able to order more gowns than they keep in stock. Bridal Collections are too expensive and include too many gowns for Bridal Shops to own all of them. If you have a question about a gown not in stock, please ask!
Question
Why does my gown not fit me perfectly?
Answer
Every bride should anticipate that a seamstresses services may be needed to provide the final adjustments to her gown which will give her individuality of a custom fit.
Question
I'm getting married in a few months, am I out of luck?
Answer
Absolutely not!! Contact us as soon as possible and we will do everything we can to make your dream wedding come true!
