The Iberia R-V Board of Education announced Friday that Roy Kramme will serve as interim superintendent until further notice, after board members voted Thursday night to place Dr. Tamara Kimball on administrative leave.

Mike Ball, the school board president, would not comment further on the decision to replace Kimball.

Kimball is still an employee of the school district. Her administrative leave is paid.

Kramme served as superintendent from 1999 to 2002.
