CRAWFORD COUNTY, Mo. -- The Missouri State Highway Patrol is reporting that a 24-year-old woman is dead following a single car crash near Steelville Saturday evening.
Troopers say Karla Cummings of Salem was driving on north on Highway 19 four miles south of Steelville when her car ran off the left side of the road, hit a culvert, and overturned. Cummings was partially ejected during the crash.
Cummings was pronounced dead on the scene when authorities arrived. They determined that she was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
