ST. LOUIS -- Ameren Corporation will reduce its staff by 300 positions by Dec. 31.

Ameren will lose three percent of its employees because of three different staff reduction initiatives.

Laid-off employees will receive a severance package that includes a lump-sum payment of two weeks’ pay for each full year of service.
