Boone County Health Department will hold H1N1 vaccine clinics starting Monday, Nov. 9. The clinics will be Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
The clinics are on a walk-in basis for the following priority groups:
- pregnant women
- children 6 months through 4 years of age
- children 5 through 18 years of age who have chronic medical conditions
These priority groups will receive the injection vaccine because it carries a dead strain of the H1N1 virus, while the nasal spray FluMist carries a live version of the H1N1 virus.
