Kassie is the meteorologist for KRCG News at Sunrise and KRCG News at Noon. She joined the team in 2008. She first interned at WFTV in Orlando, Florida, but left the tropical paradise and flocked to the heart of Missouri.

Kassie graduated with Cum Laude honors from Florida Institute of Technology in May of 2008 with her degree in Meteorology. Also while attending Florida Tech; she was a member and captain of their NCAA Division II Women’s Basketball team. GO PANTHERS!

Her interest in Meteorology began her freshman year of college during the horrible 2004-hurricane season. “That hurricane season had such an impact on our campus and community; I couldn’t help but be intrigued. Our motto that year was: We don’t need to chase the storms…they chase us.”

When she is not looking to the sky, she enjoys wearing purple and gold as she roots on the Vikings. Being a Minnesota native, they are her “one and only” football team. She also enjoys playing basketball, volleyball, and other sports, traveling, taking in the outdoors, spending time with her family and friends, and last but definitely not least, taking weekend excursions to her family’s lake cabin in Minnesota, my favorite place on Earth.
