School: Northern Illinois University
Hometown: Tuscola, Illinois

Year joined KRCG: 2012

Hobbies: Running, reading, observing weather, fishing, shopping, and cooking--I love getting recipes from Pinterest!

Fun fact: When I was 12 years old I got to watch my Dad carry the Olympic Torch through Terre Haute, Indiana, for the 2002 Winter Games. I also had the opportunity to compete and travel across the country as a member of my college's cross country and track team all four years I attended school.

When not at KRCG, can be found... On a trail, spending time with my fiance, Derek, and dog, Layla, and of course, cheering on the St. Louis Cardinals!

Coolest part of your job: Being responsible for how people plan their day around the weather, and forecasting different types of weather phenomenon--the Midwest has it all, except hurricanes.

Career background: Held internships at the National Weather Service forecast office in Lincoln, IL, and WICS-TV 20 in Springfield, IL.
